Since October 2010, General Manager Markus Bryant has been writing a monthly column entitled “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” He’s been ably assisted by freelance editorial cartoonist Bob Lynch, whose work is regularly seen in the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram. Recent columns have focused on the costs associated with wind and solar power and government subsidies. Next plans to explore the costs associated with environmental regulations. Like the Emperor, not everything in the world of electricity is as it is portrayed in the media and in Washington D.C. The column also can be accessed on the digital local pages of Country Living magazine.
